About us
We (means Bastian and me, Annina) live in a village, called Hafenlohr, midway
through the Spessart (a region between Aschaffenburg and
Würzburg in Bavaria, Germany)
We both had dogs independent from each other in our
childhood and we had been grown up with them:
Bastian had them because of his parents, who live on a
farm with a farmyard-dog called Max, and I had contact
to dogs because of my grandparents, who owned a "Deutsch-Kurzhaar"
(German-Shorthair)
After my graduation from academic high school we both
knew that our dream to have a own dog could become true,
because by studying at home I would have enough time to
care for him and could give him the attention he need.
Now the extensive search for the right breed started:
We wanted a watch- and herding dog (definitely no
hunting dog), which keeps some kind of calm, is keen on
working, loves children (because we have lots of them in
our neighbourhood and families) and owns certain height
and charisma:
After making some circuits we got around to the breed "Black
Russian Terrier" and even today we're very happy with
this decision, because all our claims are satisfied.
There couldn't be a better breed for us.
